Built in 1891 as a gambling casino, the Broadmoor was transformed into a "grand resort" in 1918. The recent multi-million-dollar renovation successfully melded the work of hundreds of early-century American and European artisans with state-of-the-art design. One of the challenges of this restoration was matching the profiles created by the original craftsmen.
