Women-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE)

A WBE is a business that is at least 51% owned by a woman or women, who control and operate it. “Control” in this context means exercising the power to make policy decisions. “Operate” in this context means being actively involved in the day-to-day management.

The Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) Certification Program qualifies a certified business to be considered by organizations that seek vendor relationships with organizations owned and operated by women or minorities.
